In the second race of the new XCO Supercup, held in the picturesque village of Marmeleira in Mortágua, we had the pleasure of witnessing a high-level international race, part of Portugal’s plan to qualify and prepare for the Olympic Games in mountain biking. The challenging Irmânia circuit provided the athletes with a fun and challenging course, especially with the muddy conditions that made the races even more exciting!
In this challenging scenario, Rafael Sousa demonstrated an impeccable performance, pulling off a smooth ride and achieving a well-deserved victory. Proudly riding his Coluer Stake CR 7.8, Rafael not only took first place in the U23 category, but also secured an impressive second place in the elite category. Congratulations, Rafael, on this remarkable achievement!
The next and final stage of the XCO Super Cup will take place on 19 May on the iconic international course of Tougues. We’re looking forward to more exciting moments and impressive performances.
